Ask HN: What do you want to knowithlearn about Emotional Intelligence?

I'm an ex-engineer, engineering manager, engineering VP (macromedia, back in the day), now coaching engineering people.

here's the thing: experience suggests that software gets built easier/better/faster if the Emotional Intelligence of the team is high (yes, controlling for the technical ability of the team). So I'm putting together workshops to teach EQ, specifically for technical and product people. Higher EQ = more productive team = better business results. Good!

The question(s): - what do you want to know/learn about EQ? - how relevant is Emotional Intelligence to your work? - put it more simply: how relevant is cleanly and clearly resolving difficult conversations to you and your team? - what would you not want from an EQ workshop?
