Ask HN: Best virtual phone number with 2-way voice and sms?

I am looking for a reliable virtual phone number provider that I can use to make/receive calls and send/receive sms. I am not looking for an enterprise solution, just a number for myself.

There is Google Voice but it is only available in the US. Skype doesn't receive texts. I have found other services that are either voice only or text only.

So far I have only found voip.ms but its sms feature seems to be in beta. Do you know of any other similar services?
