Thats pretty much it. Its funny how a lot of the Tech community values personal privacy, but forget that people like Peter Thiel are private citizens too.
No, it's simply replaying the favor. He's a political operative through his investments and involvement with Palantir. He is fair game for this activity.
I'll probably get downvoted for this.. but I really like Peter. I think he's a shrewd businessman who would be an asset at my board table, and I would never let his political views, prior investments (Palantir) or failures (like Clarium) skew my perception of his business acumen. I also truly believe that he cares deeply about liberty, and that says a lot to me, because whenever I talk about liberty to people in my life, usually they ask me something along the lines of "whats that?".
With that said, I highly value Peter and I hope I at least get to have one conversation with him during my lifetime.

Fortunately for Thiel, being right wing is not illegal.
Terrifyingly, I suspect that he contains wrong views.
