What does it for me is "accused". As if putting up a website supporting a candidate was somehow illegal or sinister or immoral.
From the title I assumed it was 4chan, which would explain where Palmer went after going dark on Reddit.

To be fair, the poster seems fairly accurate. I'm not a fan of Trump but it seems like there are no good options for US voters at this point. Turning to lampooning the whole thing seems like a reasonable form of protest, regardless of how Palmer's own political views align.
