Enjoyable and interesting article. Didn't know about the problems 3DR is having. They posted some interesting engineering jobs in 2015. Too bad they couldn't make it work. Their drones were desirable mostly because it was based on open-source. They had a software advantage over DJI but probably not enough to make it an easy purchase - especially after DJI cut prices.

Drones will still take on more roles than most of us can imagine. There is still mountains of work for drone developers. Good luck to 3DR!
