I'm seeing errors like this hitting other random websites recently. Reddit appears to be down. Is something going on on the Internet?

I tried a couple after reading your post... but i didn't face any issues on any other site..

facing the same issue with http://downdetector.com and github won't load, so won't other websites like reddit.

I was also seeing a similar error message from downdetector.com. I can load it now though, and it's showing an uptick in reports for many sites on its front page.

Blizzard has reported an outage of their Battle.net system.

Whatever's going on it seems to be affecting a lot of different sites. I was checking out Twitter for correlation, and it seems like Comcast might be having a national outage. That could explain why people might be reporting problems with lots of services.

But, i have Verizon and i am assuming it would depend on what the servers for these sites are on... may be they are on comcast?

For me github, facebook and others worked but npm failed.
