Ask HN: How did I get this Facebook friend suggestion?

Recently I was at a friend's house. We were talking and he asked whether I had ever listen to the music of Steve Martin, the actor. We discussed it briefly and he selected his music on desktop Spotify and played a couple of tracks.

About 20 minutes later, I picked up my Android phone, which does not have any Facebook apps installed (except Instagram) and was not on his wifi network, and navigated to Facebook basic mobile site in Chrome. Right away, I was presented with a 'People you may know' suggestion for a profile for the actor Steve Martin, with two mutual friends.

Any speculation on what apps and/or marketing agreements could have made that happen?
