[ 3.1 ms ] story [ 19.7 ms ] thread
Was in tears half way through.
Don't know why this got flagged, but I find it to be an interesting, albeit incredibly sad, story.
I don't think it fits the guidelines.

> On-Topic: Anything that good hackers would find interesting. That includes more than hacking and startups. If you had to reduce it to a sentence, the answer might be: anything that gratifies one's intellectual curiosity.

> Off-Topic: Most stories about politics, or crime, or sports, unless they're evidence of some interesting new phenomenon. Videos of pratfalls or disasters, or cute animal pictures. If they'd cover it on TV news, it's probably off-topic.

In particular, it ought to be intellectually interesting, not just emotionally compelling.

Some stories are so bizarre, by virtue of that itself they fulfill that criteria. I was genuinely surprised by it, as perhaps many other readers. Don't think its flag worthy, IMHO.

You should be grateful to your father.
The HIV-AIDS hypothesis is tenuous at best and a hoax most likely. Do some research and see why.
