Ask HN: Affordable way for a non-profit to send SMS surveys?

Hi HN,

I work at a non-profit whose main mission is matching up people with disabilities in quality friendships with those who do not have a disability.

We require friendship updates at the end of every month. These are 𝘤𝘳𝘶𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 for knowing if our matches are hanging out, communicating, and adding joy to both participants life.

Problem: It is hard getting people to submit these! Our website isn't the most intuitive, and neither is our newly made app (unfortunately way beyond my control at the moment). And-- people are busy/lazy/forgetful or some combination of the 3.

I think an automated SMS would be a great solution. A simple 3 message text towards the end of every month: 2 quantitative answers and 1 qualitative answer. This would be going out to around 1000 people.

I've done research and all the offering seem suited to large corporations/out of my reach.

Any advice would be extremely helpful!
