Ask HN: Advice about JavaScript framework (yeah yeah I know)

I need to pick some piece of JS to do the frontend of an ecommerce store. The specific bits that I want are, if you look at the link below

on the sidebar, the ability to filter by facets and the ability to automatically send out a request to the backend, and the ability if necessary to persist or cancel the facets throughout a session (all the backend is already done).

Question: What do you recommend in terms of JS frameworks to do this? The smaller, the better.
