Ask HN: Advice for finding potential B2B customers that use certain tool?

This is something that I'm not so sure how to go about searching: I want to create a list of companies that use a certain industrial tool. Why? Because I'm prototyping a modified/automated version of it and seeing if they'd be interested. Basic customer research.

One of my ideas was to look up job postings by companies looking for people who operate these tools, and add those employers to my list. I think that's a decent start.

How else would you search?
