Ask HN: Which area of programming should I learn?

Hi HN,

I have no experience programming nor working with tech. I'm looking for an area of programming that has a lot of job opportunities, as well as being profitable.

Now I only know that there is mobile (iOS & Android), and there is web. I've been thinking of learning Swift, and going the iOS route, but I'd like to be aware of other possibilities. What other areas are there that a novice wouldn't know?

The key factors, once again, are job opportunities and salary.
