Physician concerned about privacy with Contextmedia wallboard in exam room

Non-tech US physician here. Recently Contextmedia came through and installed some hardware in our clinic. Some exam rooms have a 32-inch touchscreen wallboard, and some have a ~10-inch tablet on a floor stand. Ostensibly these are for patient education. The wallboard has medical illustrations and animations available, for example. From a brief Google search, I see that their hardware is proprietary. It bothers me that the business model is not obvious. I expected to see direct-to-consumer ads to take advantage of a truly captive audience: Ask your doctor about Lipitor/acne cream/Gorillacillin, but I haven't seen anything like that, just one or two invitations to download an app. How can I be sure that this is not a surveillance device invading the sanctuary of the exam room? I don't see a camera lens, but there could easily be a microphone somewhere. Short of an ifixit teardown, I'm not sure how I could be reassured about this. ETA: To clarify, these are connected to a secure wifi network set up by our IT guys.
