Ask HN: What's the right CRM for this law firm?
After the submission is submit it should automatically be added to the CRM as a lead I need my users to be able update those leads with more information, add tags, put them as part of a "case" and then as the users follow up with the lead also see emails that were sent, calls that were made, and most importantly be able to upload files attached the lead/client (retainer, questionnaire, records, etc).
Capsule was decent but didn't really have anything for putting things together as a case. Lexicata doesn't allow you to store documents with the users. My other issue with Lexicata is the developers, I looked at the github profiles of the people that put it together and they had a novice rails developer who did the project and it came out looking like an MVP (to be fair the developers github profile consisted of todo lists and other hello world apps). Scaffolded rails project with a pre-bought dashboard theme. Looks like after they got funding they hired on a bit more experienced rails developer but still not sure if I'd trust my company with that. This is a shame, because they are super close to what I need as it does a good job at taking in http requests for the intake automation, it does mass mailings, allows notes and updates to the user, but doesn't store documents (a big need).
Looking for guidance on what to go with as this will likely be used for quite awhile and big undertaking moving away from our local solution so need to be worried about the saas shutting down. I have a large local database currently that I can export as csv so the CRM needs handle an import (most can do this easily).
