My Twitter account vanished and Twitter is refusing to acknowledge it
On Sunday, once again I find me logged out. I tried to login and I got the "password not matching" error and I was pretty sure I was typing in the right password. I then wanted to check my twitter public page(https://twitter.com/ratzzak) but it 404'd. That raised an alarm and hence I checked my mail and I had received an email saying
Your account may have been compromised by a website or service not associated with Twitter. We’ve locked your account @Ratzzak to keep it safe. In order to log back in, you must change your password. RESET PASSWORD
I thought WTH. I tried to reset the password and this time I stared getting errors like "We couldn't find your account with that information" for both my email id and twitter handle. So I went to their support page and I raised a complain for this thinking that this would solve the problem but instead I got a mail with the following
We’re having trouble locating a Twitter account using the information you’ve provided. Please reply to this email with the following details:
What is the email address you used on the account? Do you still have access to that email address? What is the username you used on the account?
This was sent to the same email id using which I created my Twitter account. I replied to all these questions and today I receive this "Unfortunately, we’re unable to verify you as the account holder and cannot assist you in accessing the account."
TL;DR - Twitter messed up and erased the existence of my account and refusing the acknowledge it.
