Who are the nerdiest investors in the world?

Although tech investors are nerdy per definition, there must be the ones that stand out with their extreme interest in science. If they would invest externally, Elon Musk and Xerox with its Palo Alto Research Center (at least in the 60’s & 70’s) would be some good examples.
