Ask HN: How do you keep track of who is using your Staging Servers?

I was curious what methods you are using to keep track of who is using what staging server. We use jira, but the alerts seem to fall into obscurity. I was thinking of adding a process where people add a comment to their deployments with a time stamp so if something is on the staging server for too long, we know that our QA is likely done testing it. We have 2 staging servers (we will create a few more this week) but there has got to be a better way than word of mouth and emails to keep track/sanity of this process.
