More information will come in due time. We are only going public now because of the open letter published yesterday. Freedom of the Press Foundation called on camera manufacturers to build encryption into their cameras.
Can you give a high level sketch of how it will work?
I'm particularly curious if these would have a "write only" capability, and if so, how that would work with devices that assume the ability to seek (camera previews, writing WAV files, etc)
What's the time frame? How soon do you expect to be able to demonstrate a prototype? Will standard cameras be able to use the memory card? How will the technology protect against devices being confiscated while they are in use?
Well it might be a good idea to discuss that on the site then. Maybe a little "About us" section before you publish to here. Why you are doing it, how it works, etc. The information is just too minimal at this point. If I didn't read that same post yesterday I would have no idea what you guys are trying to do.
Will this require a peripheral to extract data from the SD card? I can imagine something working such that you can write to it, but the data is encrypted in stream, and then to read off, you have to have an encryption key. Also, how are you going to fit the needed processing power for encryption on the SD card?

Our website was _literally_ built this afternoon. Feel free to ask questions here though, and I will answer what I can for now.

Will the firmware be open source?
