Ask HN: What is the state of the art in BCI?

As the title asks, what is the current state of the art for brain-computing interfaces? With regular machine learning breakthroughs and popularity, I figured some good chunk of that would be improving BCI devices to the point where controlling a PC with BCI devices can't be too far off.
