The reality of matter is that 15 y.o. girls (speaking about US and EU) generally had voluntarily intercourse. Almost exclusively with men older than them, yet around their same age. If you follow the law strictly thats crime as well. The major difference here seems 1) the man was a lot older 2) he wanted to pay for it.
