Ask HN: What are the greatest tips to stay calm?

I get angry and lose temper when people (employees, students, coworker) ask me to do something that does not require my help and does not follow my advice. I would like to know your strategies to be cool and friendly all the time

Recognise that the determinant of whether or not you will be calm is internal to you, and is unassailable by anything in the outside world.
Learn the practice of stoicism and remember the point of being angry is to convey displeasure, but if it will not create an action or change then there is no point.

Additionally, the more often you are angry, over time, the less people will pay attention to it, so it basically becomes ineffective - save it for when you need it.

Learn to understand than you have NO CONTROL over the behaviors of others. It sounds like your rage has a lot to do with a need for you to control people and circumstances around you.
