Ask HN: Advice for creating tech startup that can be sold/acquired

Hi, I'm a software developer once ran a failed startup in college. I currently work full-time but have always wanted to start a startup. I have this idea which I'm building the prototype been at it for a year now (quit, lost motivation, but the idea kept coming back to me so now I decided to build out once and for all). It's an idea that works better with bigger companies like Facebook/Google-esque and my intent is to sell it.

For those that have sold startups before I would very much appreciate any advice I can get.
