Ask HN: Why don't theaters and opera houses use yield management?

When browsing for movies, theater, and opera tickets I've noticed they retain their price regardless of demand for the performance. Some performances have been consistently booked at only 50% yet the prices didn't change. Given that these institutions face substantial fixed costs, why don't they use yield management to maximize their box office revenue?
