How to establish dialogue with early adopters

How do you all first curate/find a group of adopters and then establish a dialogue with them? Let's say the business is a network-based (e.g. LinkedIn) website service. I've had a bunch of signups but people aren't responding to my requests for feedback and I'm having difficulty moving towards product/market fit as a result.
