Advice on framework to use

1 points by Blackstone4 ↗ HN
I'm looking to put together a web site from scratch where a reasonable amount of data will be pushed out by one set of users and consumed by another. The 'Consumers' will want large amounts of data to be aggregated into graphs and there will be a fair amount of data manipulation at the backend to get the data into the right shape.

My background is in investing (3 years), quant analyst (2.5 years) and software engineer (2 years) with a masters in engineering. I'm familar with Ubuntu and have used Java, Linux and PL/SQL professionally. Then in private I have used Python and like it because it is simple, has good docs and great libraries.

Having never used a web frameswork, I've been doing some research. I'm between React and Angular on the front end and then Node.JS and Django on the backend.

Any thoughts or advice on what I should use?
