Stallman forbids Emacs on Docker Hub, because website contains non-free JS (lists.gnu.org)

This seems to be a debate about managing some sort of official account; not any sort of legal ruling on whether or not Emacs could be used on Docker Hub (whatever that means).

This is basically why I stopped reading emacs-devel and never looked back. A lot of people with a little bit too much free time (he says as he posts to HN).

1 - Stallman's emails are hardly forbiding it. It takes some pretty creative interpretation to read them that way.

2 - He can't forbid it, really. The GPL permits you to distribute emacs on Docker Hub.
