Absolutely garbage article. The main point is Amazon's marketing strategy, which is the same as everyone elses'. Also, the Echo is terrible compared to the others.
I agree, but I have both and it's much less useful than Google Home because of how limited the interface is. I'm a little butthurt because I was an early adopter of Echo and I have seen little progress in their voice recognition, interface, and capabilities.
It's a clickbait, mostly focusing on how Amazon made Alexa mainstream. Alexa sucks big time when it comes to answering questions, Google apparently with it's huge information performs way better.
But, Amazon really changed the game by launching "Echo dot", a $40 entry level AI/home automation worked in favor for them and now millions use Alexa.
