Ask HN: How to be a better technical writer?

Most devs around here likely write "docs and other forms of documentation" (eg. READMEs, guides, manuals), and so do I, but over the last couple weeks I wondered how to get better at doing it - writing clearer, easier to understand documentation.

Pointers, be it tutorials, guides or books, would be very much appreciated.
