Ask HN: Resources for senior management interview

not sure this is the right place to ask about good resources for preparing to senior management interviews, any help is appreciated. Trying to switch from technical role to management roles having hard time every one wants experience...what is the best way to go about it ( not interested in doing MBA..) what strategies may work. i see lot of useless people on top positions, feel we(technical) can do better job than so many.
