Free trade is a race to the bottom in terms of labor exploitation and unregulated ruination of natural resources.

Each jurisdiction should have as much of full-stack manufacturing as possible to best employ their workforce. Global firms can operate factories in jurisdictions where the products are consumed.

Politicians are the ones to set the tariffs. They are very much needed.
