Ask HN: Data scientists, do your skills help you make decisions about your life?

As a person who has a really bad time when it comes to making important decisions (i.e. tons of pros/cons tables and spreadsheets only provide a marginal rational help) I was wondering if studing data science would help me apply the tools of the trade to my own life's decisions.
