Alan is an amazing speaker, but he tends to ramble a bit. I would suggest reading "On the taboo against knowing who you are" as a fairly tight (~150 page) condensation of his ideas.
Haha.. I have to admit, I can only take him in small doses. What he says is wonderful and it does make sense, but it can be intense. Definitely need some time to pause or just "digest" some of the things he is saying.
