Ask HN: Truly good file recovery tool for windows?

I have in the family another trouble with deleted files.

I try with Ontrack, DataResque, Recuva, WonderShare to recover the files, with not luck.

So, I wonder what are the options here? Exist a truly good software or is more a process?

P.D: The drive was in use for some time before to note the data loss. Not sure how many.
