Ask HN: Are you a UI/UX designer looking for a sideproject to work on?

I currently started working on a side project which has been on my mind for years & keeps haunting me. Lately, I met someone on here on HN who was interested enough in the project to join in and we are making progress (the power of the internet :) ).

It's a mobile app which will also will include a web-based app. Right now I'm looking for a UI/UX designer most likely a student who wants to build their portfolio.

I wish I could pay for this but I can't because it's not generating any revenue yet. It's a side project.

UI/UX designers always create random designs of no-real app, this is an opportunity to create designs for a real app that will be in your portfolio.

If you find this interesting enough kindly reach out.

Thanks :)

Designers get lots of opportunities to work on stuff for free. Unlike programming, few of them benefit the designer's workflow in ways similar to how programming tools benefit a programmer. If a designer is working on something for free, it makes more sense to design something for themselves than people who want something for free...students in particular already have portfolios and a steady stream of non-paying work in the form of assignments (generally assignments will more directly benefit them).

Why not offer free programming for a designer who has an idea for a program? It might benefit your resume.
