If you want to learn security, learn it from the best exploiters. The point in the end of all of this is to improve security. All these leaks hopefully break people out of fool's paradise that the government doesn't know what it's doing and that they are all secure and everything is all good. That's the real wakeup call. In time the security agencies will become even more sophisticated. They have billions of dollars to do that. The fact that other countries aren't being targeted just means that we have more open systems. Those other regimes are much more totalitarians and their citizens are much less open minded, and freedom oriented to leak that information.
