I'm so tired of this story. United was perfectly within their SOP to ask someone random to deboard. The Chicago police were perfectly within their SOP to physically remove someone who refused to deboard. None of it should even be controversial.

All of this "outrage" is just facile, lowest common denominator virtue signaling from people who feel powerless to do anything more than condemn a corporation.

Also, I'm pretty sure Weibo users should have bigger issues on their minds if they are genuinely concerned about racism and civil liberties. Give me a break.

Just because something is legally your right does not make it morally correct. People are also perfectly within their right to complain about whatever they want to online. What are you going to do about it?

Uniteds' stock crashed because of this. Perhaps people aren't as powerless as you think they are.
