Ask HN: Search plugins for ecommerce sites?

I was wondering what search plugins people used for their ecommerce sites. From what I've seen, the solutions include Nextopia and SearchSpring. Nextopia and SearchSpring seem quite expensive ($300+ per month) and quite difficult to use, but this may be my bias speaking. I'd be interested to hear what you guys thought of the search plugins you ended up using. Thanks.
