Vistar Media Is Hiring a Product Analyst – Connected Devices in NYC

Vistar is focused on revolutionizing the Digital Out Of Home (DOOH) advertising industry. A big part of that mission is making the digital screens out in the world smart enough to react to a variety of data inputs, and then use that data to build a dynamic, engaging experience on the fly. Also, our clients need powerful new tools to manage all of these devices (think any internet connected screen, sensor, or other hardware).

Cortex is Vistar's management platform for connected devices. We have some great software engineers focused on this problem already, and now we need a product team to support the development and deployment effort. As a Product Analyst, you will be the first product hire for Cortex, with an opportunity to grow into a Product Manager.

Responsibilities

- Become an expert in the digital signage technology space, and use your expertise to help define and manage the Cortex product roadmap. - Establish and execute a QA process for Cortex and related products - Write and maintain awesome documentation - Experiment with external hardware and software solutions (e.g. beacons, wifi sensors) that could enhance the Cortex product offering. - Act as a liaison between engineering, client services, and product marketing, so that all parties have the info they need to hit the ground running.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree - Excellent problem solving and communication skills - Experience with technical product management or support - Experience with at least one programming language - Basic knowledge of computer hardware and operating systems - Basic knowledge of web applications - Proficiency in excel

- Experience with digital signage and/or another iot application - You have worked as a software engineer or systems admin previously
