Why some developers/managers tend to pass no credit to others?

I am beginning to notice some people I work with has no sense of appreciation when they receive help or leads when solving big problems.

This makes me wonder whether I am working with a bad bunch.

Any thoughts on similar situations or ways of dealing with?
