They make some strong points about how propaganda from US and Israel meant to warn civilian populations of impending attacks is sometimes confusing and not followed up by actual attacks. Such warnings are required by the Geneva Convention. Fair enough.
Oddly they don't address the fact that Palestine's rockets are never preceded by such warnings. They don't address the flagrant violations of the Geneva Convention by ISIS, which uses hospitals as shields for military operations.
It's not addressed because it's not really germane because the Geneva Conventions are just a set of agreements between signatories that neither side should be the first to violate the statutes in the GC. In fact the only real force of the conventions is that should one side violate the rules the other is no longer bound by them as well. In general signatory countries abide by the conventions (for the most part) even if the opposing troops aren't really covered but that's mostly to avoid censure than a true obligation.
Or maybe the author has an agenda. Let's take the Geneva Convention out of the argument. Why don't Hamas and ISIS deliver fair warning to prevent civilian deaths?
