Ask HN: Do you see visual snow?

I recently discovered visual snow syndrome and learned that not everyone sees 'visual snow' like I do.

Visual snow is seeing static constantly in your vision; there is more static the darker it is. Here's what it looks like to me: http://i.imgur.com/OoFxbKM.gif

I thought everyone saw visual snow like me until I realised it is actually a rare disease, that is usually always associated with tinnitus (which I have an unexplained case of, since childhood).
