Ask HN: My startup just got acquired, how can we ensure it works out?

My startup which I've built my 3 co-founders over the last 5 years just got acquired by a medium size company (~800 employees) in a similar space. My colleagues an I are joining their team and they've said they will allocate resources to our product as needed.

I'm having a hard time reasoning about changing titles and responsibilities while ensuring that our product is smoothly integrated into their sales and support teams, and continues to grow.

We've been wearing all the hats for the last 5 years, and each had a hand in closing deals, building the product, helping customers succeed. Now we're being assigned actual titles, which are greatly limited in scope and expected to perform as specialists in our respective roles, while still delivering on revenue and growth targets which were agreed on during the acquisition.

Has anyone else gone through this? Any advice for increasing our chances of success when merging into this company would be greatly appreciated.

We start at the new company next week.
