Ask HN: What CS-related careers are underpublicized?

I just finished up my junior year of my CS degree, and I'm starting to think about what kind of work I might do in the future after I graduate. While thinking about places I might work, I realized my search space for career type in general is pretty small: software engineer at a web-related product firm, or freelance contractor, are all I'm really thinking about. For the purposes of argument, what kind of fields could a relatively good programmer work in? How do you find those jobs? Every internship I've had in the past has been very "startup"-related and involved fullstack development, but I'm interested in trying to branch out.
