Where/To Whom do you give money to online?

I'm curious to know who you give money to online.

Recently the Guardian started asking for money online, but not paywalling its articles. I am considering giving them money.

But, in addition to that, I already subscribe to one podcast, donate monthly to certain charities, support a patreon account, have supported friends and acquaintances through kickstarter, gofundme, and other crowsourcing tools.

In the past I have supported Open Source projects with one time donations, when they prompted me.

So I wonder, how do you give online? How do you decide to allocate your money for these new types of optional expenditures?
