We are currently looking for a

Data Scientist (university diploma, master’s degree or equivalent).

Role and Responsibilities:

• Support for R on the HPC systems of the LRZ (SuperMUC, Linux Cluster, Compute Cloud)

• Support for selected research groups in the area of Big Data and Data Analytics

• Conduct training courses on R and R Studio

• Software administration of the LRZ RStudio Server

Qualifications:

• A post graduate university or polytechnic degree with an above average GPA, ideally in computer or natural sciences

• Experience with the programming language R

• Experience with UNIX/Linux based systems, scripting and higher level programming languages (such as Perl, Python, FORTRAN, C, Java, etc.).

• Fluent speaking and writing skills in English and German are essential

• Initiative, capacity for teamwork, and creativity
