How to set up a cleaning plan for a student flat share on Facebook?

I'm operating a flat share in Vienna for international students and interns. The residents have to clean the apartment by themselves. There is a weekly changing cleaning plan but keeping the shared part of the apartment clean isn't working as good as it should, especially the kitchen.

The flat share has recently got it's on facebook group for exchanging information. That has improved exchanging information a lot in comparison with the situation before where information was sent one by one via email.

The existing physical cleaning plan is something I'd describe as cleaning clock or wheel. It consists out of a large outer circle with four fields - kitchen, toilet, bathroom, floors and a small inside circle with four fields, where each field represents one of the four residents. The small circle rotates in steps of one week inside the larger circle so that each week the residents are matched to a new cleaning field.

The problem is that the circle is only turning if it is turned by hand at the end of each week and this is not really working. Therefore I'd like to digitize the cleaning wheel and put it on the facebook group of the flat share. Unfortunately I have no clue how to do that. I have no programming skills. Suggestion how to realize that would be appreciated. This is my first post on Hacker News. I hope it's not inappropriate.

Sounds like an interesting programming project and a reason to acquire programming skills. Even if it is not successful, maybe you will learn something. The journey might even make for a series of interesting blog posts.

Information about developing for Facebook, https://developers.facebook.com/docs/

I am not sure that Facebook allows custom programs to run on pages.

Good luck.
