Ask HN: Organizing six developers across several applications
I am on a team of six developers in a large, non technical, organization. We have a handful of mostly CRUD internal applications we support. Typically the way projects work is a senior developer is lead and one or two others are assigned to help them. The small team takes six months to two years to develop the application and the lead maintains it after that and they own the project.
I would like to move more toward having the whole team work on a project for a few months and have the team have ownership.
What are the pluses and minuses for the two approaches?
We use .NET MVC with our biggest app using Ember.js.
