Ask HN: Do Twitter+Facebook employees not feel guilty for the hatred/abuse?

I don't need to provide examples of the complete degeneration of human society on your platforms. Genuinely curious as to whether you actually believe you are doing the world a favour with what is basically a photo sharing and messaging website. Or are you too busy blocking the hate and abuse out waiting for your options to vest? If twitter and facebook were to disappear tomorrow, the world would be a far better place.

Thank you, the intention is absolutely to provoke. It is a pathetic, depressing and frankly dangerous state of affairs that needs to be brought to light more frequently.
