An “The Uber of ” idea I haven't heard

Here it is: The Uber of Investigative Reporting

This struck me a few days ago and I'm convinced it's a thing. If I could make a kickstarter style payment to fund a real investigative reporter to look into a thing, I would be all about it. My feeling is that a lot of other people would as well. On the flip side, newspapers (who employ most investigators - tv does NOT) are starving for a viable way to make money in the new digital world. This solves that problem - if done right.

That's all I've got... Sharing this here is probably all I will ever do with this idea.
