Ask HN: How do you avoid yourselves from getting distracted?

While working, generally I am very focused. But there as time when I have to wait for say 10 mins (e.g. checking out code), I cannot resist the urge to check HN or Reddit. And that is where I lose the focus and become unproductive.

What do you do in those unavoidable small pockets of time to avoid getting distracted?
